Die argentinische Theologin Marcella Althaus-Reid (1952-2009) hat mit ihrer Queer Theology eine Theologie des Ungehorsams entworfen - sinnlich, politisch und befreiend. Sie fragt, warum Gott so oft in heteronormativen, patriarchalen und kolonialen Bildern gefangen bleibt - und was geschieht, wenn wir diese Ordnungen aufbrechen.
The Queer God ist eine Einladung, das Göttliche in der Vielfalt von Körpern, Begehren und alltäglichen Erfahrungen zu suchen - in dem, was als „unrein“, „unpassend“ oder „unsichtbar“ galt. Althaus-Reid fordert eine Theologie, die sich nicht von der Widersprüchlichkeit und Körperlichkeit menschlicher Sexualität abwendet, sondern darin Spuren des Göttlichen entdeckt.
Der Abend lädt dazu ein, zentrale Gedanken Althaus-Reids kennenzulernen und zu diskutieren, welche transformatorische Kraft queeres Denken für Spiritualität, Gerechtigkeit und gelebte Befreiung haben kann.

With her Queer Theology, the Argentine theologian Marcella Althaus-Reid (1952–2009) developed a theology of disobedience – sensual, political and liberating. She asks why God so often remains trapped in heteronormative, patriarchal and colonial images – and what happens when we break down these structures.
The Queer God is an invitation to seek the divine in the diversity of bodies, desires and everyday experiences – in what was considered ‘unclean’, ‘inappropriate’ or ‘invisible’. Althaus-Reid calls for a theology that does not turn away from the contradictions and physicality of human sexuality, but discovers traces of the divine within it.
The evening invites you to explore Althaus-Reid’s key ideas and to discuss the transformative power that queer thinking can have for spirituality, justice and lived liberation.
We will start the evening with impulse and dinner.
